Muangthai Capital Receives 2024 ASEAN Asset Class PLC Award

Muangthai Capital Public Company Limited (MTC) received an ASEAN Asset Class PLC award following the 2024 ASEAN Corporate Governance Scorecard assessment.
The 2024 assessment examined the corporate governance of 569 large listed companies across ASEAN. The award reflects MTC's commitment to transparent, accountable and ethical operations in line with internationally recognised good-governance principles. It also reflects the company's consideration of all stakeholder groups, continuous maintenance of good-governance standards and emphasis on sustainable environmental, social and governance (ESG) practices.
The award results were announced at the ASEAN Corporate Governance Conference and Awards 2025, supported by the ASEAN Capital Markets Forum (ACMF) and the Asian Development Bank (ADB).
The ASEAN Corporate Governance Scorecard was initiated by the ACMF in 2012 with support from securities regulators in ASEAN. It assesses listed companies in six ASEAN countries—Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam—including the 100 companies with the largest market capitalisation as at 31 May. The assessment takes place every two years.
Each country's assessment applies criteria developed from OECD principles and uses information publicly disclosed by listed companies. A cross-country peer-review process helps ensure consistent assessment standards across participating countries.
