Muangthai Capital Donates Jitmetta Chuchat–Daonapa Building and Sidecar Motorcycles in Sukhothai

Muangthai Capital contributes to responsible environmental, social and economic development and considers all stakeholder groups. The company believes basic public healthcare should be equitably accessible in rural and remote areas and has therefore developed a range of social-support projects.
MTC donates dental and administration centre to Ban Dan Lan Hoi Hospital in Sukhothai
Anutin Charnvirakul, then Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Public Health, and his delegation received the ‘Jitmetta Chuchat–Daonapa Building’ from Parithad Petampai, Deputy Managing Director of Muangthai Capital Public Company Limited, at Ban Dan Lan Hoi Hospital in Ban Dan Lan Hoi District, Sukhothai Province, on 4 February 2023.
The hospital has a team of dental specialists and serves people from many areas, but its existing facilities were too constrained for the number of patients. MTC therefore provided THB 30 million to construct a two-storey dental and administration centre with 1,700 square metres of usable space.
The facility includes six dental rooms, three psychiatric examination rooms, one psychiatric treatment room, a mental-health education and counselling room, a patient waiting hall and administrative offices supporting doctors and nurses.
Sidecar motorcycles for subdistrict health-promoting hospitals
Under the ‘Muangthai Ruam Jai: Giving to Communities’ project, MTC also supported sidecar motorcycles for subdistrict health-promoting hospitals.
The project reflects the role of these hospitals as accessible providers of comprehensive public-health services. Staff and volunteers also travel to remote communities to care for older people, persons with disabilities and bedridden patients. A needs assessment among staff at subdistrict health-promoting hospitals in Sukhothai found that many agricultural areas, rice-field embankments and narrow roads were inaccessible by car but suitable for motorcycles.
MTC therefore launched a pilot project valued at THB 2.5 million to provide sidecar motorcycles to subdistrict health-promoting hospitals in 20 Sukhothai subdistricts. The vehicles help staff and volunteers reach communities, transport medical supplies and medicines to patients' homes, and transport older patients. The project is intended to improve access to healthcare, reduce inequality and lay a foundation for sustainable community public-health development.
MTC continues to promote good governance and sustainable development, guided by the principle that an organisation should grow while caring for the society around it. The company seeks to improve wellbeing for customers and non-customers without discrimination, reflecting the aspiration of Chuchat Petaumpai and his family:
“Having overcome poverty ourselves, how can we help our friends and the people around us live better lives?”
