MTC and STeP Present Results of Northern Beekeeping Development Project

Muangthai Capital and the Science and Technology Park of Chiang Mai University (STeP) presented the results of a project supporting northern beekeepers at the Northern Science Park Exhibition Hall in Chiang Mai.

Participants developed capacity in technology, beekeeping, financial planning, branding and marketing. They applied the knowledge to new products, including a honey-and-thanaka sleeping mask from the Pa Koi Bee Products Community Enterprise in Chiang Rai and aromatic candles from Phueng Ja Farm Community Enterprise in Phayao.

The collaboration connected university knowledge with farmers for practical use. The source states that MTC was the first private-sector partner to work with the park on developing beekeeping groups.
